England Cricketers Salary 2021
|England is one of the founding nations and a full member of the International Cricket Board (ICC). The governing body of cricket in England and Wales was formed on 1 January 1997. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) oversees all levels of cricket in England and Wales, including the national teams. The board is referred to as the ECB not the EWCB, It was set by the previous bodies. England board is the 3rd richest cricket control body in the world. They are currently ranked 4th in Tests, 4th in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 1st in Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) by the ICC.
Depending on players seniority and previous year performances board sets a basic salary. Besides those basic salary players also receive Bonuses. As ECB said, A player with test contract makes a maximum of £650,000 per year. A player with white-ball contract can make a maximum of £300,000 per year and players with an increment type contract can make £200,000 yearly. Players who have both White ball and Test contracts will make a maximum of £950,000 per year. Team skipper will have a bonus of 25% to the annual salary. Besides all those official fixed salaries and bonuses, players get many other bonus prizes throughout their every match-winning performance.
Players will get:
- Match Fee: Every individual player who plays an international match for the country is provided with the match fee. The match fee is the same for all the squad members.
- Team Performance Bonuses: Performance Rewards are also given by the ECB to the individual players depending on their performance.
- Retainer Fee: Retain Fee is guaranteed yearly retainer which will be paid to all cricketers in the central contract based on their contract type.
- Individual Performance Bonuses: Performance-related bonuses are also rewarded.
ECB each year releases a list of contract which includes 3 types of contract:
- Central Test Contract
- White Ball Contract
- Increment Contract
*Increment Contract is awarded to those players who the ECB feels are the rising stars and have the potential to become big.

All the players gets their base salaries besides the base salary a player taking part in test match receives a fee of £18,000. Following that for ODI is £10,000 and for T20 internationals £5,000 fee is received by each participating player.
