sling tv channels list

Looking for details on the Sling TV channels list? Trying to understand all of the different Sling packages that are available for you to choose from?

Sling TV is one of the most popular live streaming services on the market today. It was really the first service of its kind that offered live channels, like ESPN, FOX Sports, AMC, CNN, and others, without a cable subscription.

But as we pointed out in our Sling TV review, the channel packages can be a little difficult to understand for some people because of the unique way they’re structured.

To help you out, we’ve fully outlined all of the Sling TV packages and plans currently offered, including the full channel lineup and cost of each.

And remember, because this is a sports site, we’ll make sure to point out the major sports channels included in the various plans.

Hopefully, by the end of this guide, you’ll be able to decide which, if any, of the Sling TV plans is right for you.

The 2022 Sling TV Channels List

The Sling TV channel lineup is vast and includes all of the favorites, but what makes it unique is the way they break out the packages. Sling offers multiple slim bundles that you can combine to create a plan that’s kind of tailored to your interests.

Most channels include live and on-demand programming, as well as access to their TV Everywhere apps that can be authenticated with your Sling login credentials.

A Closer Look at Sling TV Sports Channels

Which Sports Channels is Sling TV Missing?

The main sports channels you won’t find on Sling include most regional sports networks (AT&T SportsNet regionals, Bally Sports regionals, NESN, YES Network, etc.), CBS, and CBSSN.

What about Local Channels on Sling TV?

If there’s a shortcoming with Sling TV’s channel lineup, its the very limited selection of local channels:

Local Fox channels are only available in limited markets, including Houston, Detroit, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Atlanta, Phoenix, Seattle, Los Angeles, Orlando, Tampa Bay, St. Petersburg, Gainesville, Milwaukee, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Austin, San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose.

Local NBC channels are only available in limited markets, including Dallas/Ft. Worth, New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, Hartford/New Haven, San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, and San Diego.

Local ABC networks aren’t technically available on Sling TV, but you can watch any live sports that air on ABC (college football, NBA, and more) with ESPN3.

A Final Word on Sling TV’s Channels

Now that we’ve laid out all of Sling TV’s channels, it’s time to ask the big questions: Is Sling TV’s channel lineup worth it? How does it compare to other streaming services?

Sling TV is one of the most affordable ways to watch live TV without cable. You can get the Sling Orange or Sling Blue package for just $35 a month, or get both packages together (Sling Orange + Sling Blue) for $50 a month. That’s cheaper than any other live TV streaming service on the market, with the exception of Philo, but Philo doesn’t offer any sports channels or locals.

While some other streaming services might offer more channels and better coverage of local channels and regional sports networks, Sling is a great value for what you get. Sling TV offers all of the major sports channels, entertainment channels, new channels, premiums (except HBO), and more.
