Australia Cricketer Salaries 2023
|Australia is the most successful team in Test cricket history, in terms of overall wins, win-loss ratio and wins percentage. According to the National selectors announcement, 20 men and 15 women will be contracted for the next 12 months. Cricket Australia has announced its player contracts for 2020-21. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Australian cricket players salaries have been cut by 25-30% in the new national contract released by the CA.
Players are ranked by selectors and paid an income that corresponds to where they sit in the pecking order, with Pat Cummins a top-ranked player believed to have pocketed a base salary of approximately $2 million in 2019-20. There are also some Fees and bonuses for the players. Australian cricket players get extra money from the prize money of International tournaments. They also get other rewards for their special performances for the team and received extra match fees for winning the Ashes series. Non Contract players don’t receive any retainer fee but only a match fee. In 2015, when Australia won the world cup trophy each player in the squad earned ($365,000 approx.) from the players pool money and prize money share.

Aaron Finch is the highest-paid captain followed by former Australian captain Steve Smith and David Warner. Theys gets 25% more retainer fees than another player.
