Kim Seung Guy is the number one choice for guarding the goal line. He currently plays at Kashiwa Reysol and is the prioritized glove man. Ulsan Hyundai FC shot stopper Jo Hyeon Woo is the other goalie who also can have a go. By the way, Jo was the first choice keeper during the 2018 FIFA WC but we are expecting Kim to be the first pick for the Qatar edition. The 3rd choice keeper in the squad is expected to be Gu Sung Yun.

Our experts suspect the Korean head coach to choose a 4 men back line. In the center, Kim Min Jae and Kim Young Gwon will be the most regulars in the starting XI. The aforementioned one is currently playing for Turkish side Fenarbache with his partner being the part of J1 club Gamba Osaka. Lee Yong is the first choice right back for the country at this moment while Hong Chul will be the starting left back. Kim Jin Soo and Park Ji Soo are the possible prioritized substitute options.

Korea Republic has got a fearsome midfield. Their midfield is definitely world class and is probably the best in Asia at this moment. Heung Min Son can prove himself a terror for any opposition. The Tottenham super star doesn’t have anything more to prove. His worthy partner at the upper part of the midfield will be another EPL star Hwang Hee Chan. The Wolves sensation has been in sparkling form for his club as well and will be a key factor. With a possible 4-2-3-1 formation, another weapon at the upper midfield will be Lee Jae Sung II. Song Min Kyu will also be a handy option for the boss. However, the defensive part of the midfield should be occupied by Hwang In Beom and Jung Woo Young. Hwang has settled himself in the Russian side Rubin Kazan’s midfield while Jung has decorated his career in the Middle East.

The attack should feature a solitary striker. As the world cup games will be against comparatively stronger sides, we don’t think the Korean boss would be playing with any ultra attacking mode. The first choice striker in the squad will be no other than Hwang Eui Jo. He is a regular starter at French Ligue 1 side Bordeaux and will be a key player for the side.

Predicted Starting Lineup:

Formation: 4-2-3-1 or 4-1-4-1.

Goalkeeper: Kim Seung Guy or Jo Hyeon Woo.

Defense: Lee Yong, Kim Min Jae, Kim Young Gwon, Hong Chul.

Midfield: Hwang In Beom, Jung Woo Young, Son Heung Min, Hwang Hee Chan, Lee Jae Sung II.

Attack: Hwang Eui Jo.

Key Players:

Son Heung Min, Hwang Hee Chan, Hwang Eui Jo, Hwang In Beom.
