Germany Team Squad For FIFA World Cup 2022 (Possible)
|Germany did have their strongest squad in recent history during the 2014 FIFA WC and they managed to win that tournament. However, since then, the Germans could rarely show their ruthless performance on the field. They had a much disappointing world cup campaign in 2018 and were thrown out of the tournament from the group stage. Then they failed to go past England at the round of 16 in Euro 2020. Manager Joachim Low resigned after a self announcement and Hans Dieter Flick took charge. Here we will list out the German players who will feature for Deutschland in the Qatar World Cup.

Manager: Hans Dieter Flick.
Highly experienced Manuel Neuer who is gonna play his 4th World Cup, will once again be the first pick Goalkeeper in the side. The Bayern Munich as well as the national team captain is a key figure for the side and has safely guarded the German goalposts on plenty of occasions. Another star keeper, Marc Andre Ter Stegen will be the 2nd choice GK while either Kevin Trapp or Bernd Leno will be selected as the third choice keeper.
Low played with a 3-4-2-1 formation but change of manager means there will be a possible change of formation. Flick has played most of the games with a 4-2-3-1 formation. In this formation there will be clearly 4 defenders. The center parts will be occupied by any 2 of the Rudiger, Sule or Hummels. However, the Chelsea center half is a more certain starter than any of his counterparts. Robin Gosens will certainly be the top choice left back while PSG’s Thilo Kehrer would be the 2nd choice LB. Joshu Kimmich who served as a defensive midfielder, will serve as the right back for Flick’s side. However, if Kimmich is sent upward to occupy the DM spot then the Borussia Monchengladbach’s Jonas Hofmannn might get his chances.
Bayern Munich man Leon Goretzka and former Bayern star and current Real Madrid sensation Toni Kross will be the most likely pair to play at the heart of the field. However, the German boss has got plenty of options to use. Ilkay Gundogan will be a pretty good option. And he can even use Kimmich in the DM role as well and he has used him in that role in the absence of Kroos on several occasions.
At the upper part of the midfield, Flick again has plenty of top class options. Thus we expect him to rotate his squad for different matches as all the available options can prove themselves to be the match winner. Kai Havertz, Thomas Muller, Marco Reus, Jamal Musiala, Leroy Sane, Serge Gnabry all of these guys are really really world class and Flick might give chances to different guys on different occasions. Timo Werner might be the first choice number nine but who knows he might have to sit out and anybody of the players mentioned just below can get to play as the number nine.
