The retainer structure is:
Category A+: BDT 4 lakh/month (US$ 5000 approx.)
Category A: BDT 3 lakh/month (US$ 3750 approx.)
Category B: BDT 2 lakh/month (US$ 2500 approx.)
Category C: BDT 1.25 lakh/month (US$ 1875 approx.)
Category D: BDT 1 lakh/month (US$ 1250 approx.)
N.B: Players to feature in both red and white-ball formats will draw the full amount of their salary in one format and half of the other format.

On Sunday (March 8) BCB announced the new and updated players central contract list for the running year 2020. For this term, the Bangladesh Cricket Board picked 17 players and off them they included 6 new players and excluded 7 players. As Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim, are in both the red and white-ball lists, and are listed in the A+ category in both. Iqbal will be earning BDT 630,000 (an extra 30,000 as ODI captain) which is the current top paid amount of the Bangladesh Cricket team. Following him, Mushfiqur Rahim stands to earn BDT 600,000 (US$ 7500 approx.). Being only in the white-ball contract and also an A+ category player Mahmudullah and Soumya Sarker will get BDT 400,000 (US$ 5000 approx.) per month.

Each player awarded with double match fees when they won a series or match against Australia, Pakistan, India, and England. Bangladesh player offered prize money share which is almost 25% and other 75% distributed for the development of cricket in Bangladesh.
