French Open 2022 Prize Money
|The 2022 French Open will be the 126th edition of the French Open tournament. The tournament is a Grand Slam-tire played on outdoor clay courts. The tournament was part of the 2020 ATP Tour and the 2020 WTA Tour calendars under the Grand Slam category. The tournament consist of both men’s and women’s singles and doubles draws.
Due to the COVID-19 Padndamic, French Open 2020 dates were moved first to 20 September to 4 October 2020 and then moved a week further to 27 September to 11 October 2020, just two weeks after the 2020 US Open. According to the French Tennis Federation, the 2022 French Open tournament will start on Sun, May 22, 2022 and will go on till Sun, Jun 5, 2022.

The total prize money at Roland Garros for 2021 was estimated at €38,000,000 which is down 10.93% compared to 2019 and the same as 2020. The French Open earns a huge amount throughout the tournament. They sell rights to TV channels to broadcast the play worldwide. A huge amount gets added besides that people come from around the world to enjoy this tournament and the entry is not free. The French Open Tournament management bags a huge amount this way.

The singles champion will take home €1,600,000, while the runner-up will receive €800,000. The semifinalists’ cheque will be for €425,250 and the quarterfinalists will earn €283,500. The fourth round players will receive €189,000, €126,000 for reaching the third round and €84,000 for reaching the second round. First-round losers will take home €60,000 and the qualifiers 1st, 2nd and 3rd will receive €25,600, €16,000 and €10,000.

The doubles champions will receive €319652 per team, with the runners-up earning €188030. The doubles semifinalists will take home €110606 and the quarterfinalist will receive €65062.
